	Michael Werner Kunsthandel presents in Köln, Germany, a selection of twenty-two works by the Fench artist Eugène Leroy.. Seventeen paintings - among them, seven large canvasses which have rarely been shown to the public before - as is the case for Sans titre (Untitled), 1994, Eté 96 (Summer 96) or Couple 99. Five works on paper of a similar size,108 x 75 cm, show how the artist was able to rework his drawings and gouaches the same way he did the paintings on canvas over a long period of time. See the two large gouaches on paper, Nu (Nude) and Le couple (The couple) dated 1967 which were completed in 1985. Except fort the painting named Figure A.M. dated 1982, all the other canvasses are late works by Eugène Leroy who died in the Norh of France in 2000.
